Adam Swandi
Formerly from Marsiling Primary School

The professional footballer has done Singapore proud with a series of international caps to his name. The Singapore Premier League 2018 Young Player of the Year received his first call up into the Singapore National Team in 2013 and received his first international cap at 17 years old. The football talent won the Most Valuable Player award in the 2012 Lion City Cup and made enough of an impression to score a 2-year contract in 2013 with top-tier French club FC Metz. Adam was one of the first two Singaporeans to play for Albirex Niigata in 2018 and is currently playing for the Lion City Sailors.
Adele Tan Qian Xiu
Formerly from Chongfu School

Adele, who graduated from the Extended International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in 2019, made her debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Prior to that, she scooped up a gold medal at the H&N Cup in Munich in 2020, setting a new national record. She bagged 2 bronzes in Women’s 10m Air Rifle and Mixed 10m Air Rifle at the 2019 SEA Games, and a bronze in Women's 10m Air Rifle Team at the 2021 SEA Games.

Adele was part of the team that broke the ISSF Junior World Championship 10m Air Rifle Women Junior Team World record together with alumnae Ho Xiu Yi and Martina Lindsay P Veloso in 2018. She won silver medals in the 2017 and 2018 ISSF Junior World Championship 10m Air Rifle Women Junior Team. Her best ranking to date is No.14 in the world.
Amanda Lim Xiang Qi
Formerly from First Toa Payoh Primary School

The freestyle sprint specialist represented Singapore in six events at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games. Amanda, who made her debut outing at the SEA Games in 2007, has won multiple medals at every subsequent edition since then. She retained her title of “Fastest Woman in South East Asia” after her 6th consecutive Gold medal in the 50m Freestyle in the 2019 SEA Games and achieved a new personal best after 10 years, touching the wall at 25.06s. At the 2021 SEA Games, she was a fraction of a second short of winning her 7th consecutive gold medal. She eventually settled for a silver, and won a gold medal in the Women 4x100m Freestyle Relay. At the 2023 SEA Games, Amanda won a silver again in the 50m Freestyle. She was also part of the Women’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay team that won Singapore’s 1000th gold medal since the inception of the SEAP/SEA Games in 1959.

Amanda also contributes to the community with her many charitable commitments: She holds regular swim clinics to help to pass down her skills to the next generation and she joined hands with five other athletes to start Heartwork, an initiative to help the needy by distributing basic necessities to them.
Amita Marie Nicolette Berthier
Formerly from Raffles Girls' Primary School

Amita made history by being the first Singaporean fencer to qualify for the Olympics, and headed to the Tokyo Games in 2021. Amita is also known for winning the Junior World Cup title in 2017. She also became the first local to achieve No.1 in the World Junior Women’s Foil ranking after her triumphs during the 2018-2019 season. Amita was also part of the team that won a bronze medal for Women’s Foil at the 2018 Asian Games. It was the first medal for Singapore in women’s foil at Asian Games. In 2023, Amita continued her trailblazing act by achievement Singapore’s best finish at the Asian Fencing Championships, after winning a joint bronze in the Women’s Foil.

Amita secured an individual gold medal in the 2017 SEA Games as well as 2 gold medals for Women’s Foil Individual and Women’s Foil Team in the 2019 SEA Games and the 2019 Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships (Junior category). She was only the second Singaporean to win a senior satellite tournament at the 2019 Trekantan International in Copenhagen. For her achievements in 2019, Amita was named Sportsgirl of the Year during the Singapore Sports Awards 2020.
Au Yeong Wai Yhann
Formerly from Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' School (Primary) and Singapore Chinese Girls' School

The four-time women’s national squash champion has won 3 silver and 2 bronze medals at the 2017 and 2019 SEA Games. Singapore’s top-ranked squash athlete received the 2019 Moo Soon Chong Student-Athlete of the Year Award for doing well in sport and studies, displaying excellent conduct, and being a role-model student-athlete for her peers. She received the Annabel Pennefather Excellence Award 2020 for her outstanding achievements and passion to pursue her sport further. She also graduated from the Extended International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme with flying colours in 2020, achieving 43 out of 45 points.
Benjamin Kheng Wenming
Formerly from Anglo-Chinese School (Primary)

A former national youth swimmer, Benjamin was internationally known for being the vocalist and frontman of The Sam Willows band which landed a coveted spot on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2019. He is currently pursuing a solo career as a musician, and is also an actor and presenter.

Benjamin is also an advocate for youth and social causes. He was part of the Somerset Belt Working Panel, an initiative by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth that aims to support, collaborate and help realise aspirations of the youths in Singapore.
Calvin Kang Li Loong
Formerly from Elias Park Primary School

The former national sprinter competed in the century sprint event at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Before he reached the age of 21, Calvin had competed in the SEA Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and Olympic Games, all in a matter of four years. He is the first Singaporean athlete to have done so.

Calvin helped to set the Men’s 4x100m Relay national record at the 2015 SEA Games, which remains unbroken. He and his teammates also bagged 2 silver medals in the 4x100m relay in the 2011 and 2015 editions.
Cecilia Low Rui Qi
Formerly from CHIJ (Katong) Primary

The national sailor represented Singapore in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games together with her partner Kimberly Lim. The pair finished 10th in the race, achieving Singapore's best sailing result at the Olympics. Cecilia was also half of the sailing skiff 49erFX pair that bagged a bronze in the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China in 2023. Her best performance at the Asian Games was in the 2018 Asian Games where she won Singapore’s first sailing gold medal. Cecilia also finished seventh out of 15 boats in the Sailing World Cup (SWC) in an eight-day competition in 2017. She and her sailing partner were the top Asian pairing in the 2017 SWC. In 2012, Cecilia won the 420 women’s title at the 420 World Championships.
Christopher Hwang Eu Wei
Formerly from Anglo-Chinese School (Primary)

The former national youth bowler was a double-medallist at the Asian Youth Games in 2009. Now famously known as the co-founder of The Golden Duck Co, Christopher and his co-founder were featured in the Forbes 30 Under 30 class of 2017. The company was also awarded Most Promising Start Up at the Emerging Enterprise Awards 2017.
Clarence Chew Zhe Yu
Formerly from Nanyang Primary School

Clarence made history by becoming the first Singapore-born paddler to qualify for the Men’s Singles event at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021. At the 2023 SEA Games, Clarence won a gold medal in Men’s Team and a silver medal in Mixed Doubles. Clarence has participated in six editions of the SEA Games (2023, 2021, 2019, 2017, 2015 and 2013), and has scooped up a total of 16 medals in the Singles, Doubles and Team events.

Clarence first represented Singapore in Table Tennis in the 2010 Youth Olympic Games. In 2014, he aided his team to make it to the final eight at the World Team Table Tennis Championships by triumphing over World No. 35 Par Gerell and World No. 37 Wong Chun Ting. He also bagged the team gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and slid into first place in the Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles at the SEA Table Tennis Championships in 2014 and 2016.

After his secondary education, Clarence continued his studies at Singapore Sports School. He graduated from the through-train Diploma in Sport and Leisure Management offered jointly with Republic Polytechnic in 2022.
Constance Lien Tian-En
Formerly from Methodist Girls' School (Primary)

The Jiu-Jitsu champ was named Sportsgirl of the Year in 2019 after her silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games. Constance also snagged the Women’s Blue Belt Featherweight world title on her debut at the World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championships in 2019. At the end of the same year, she made her maiden appearance at the SEA Games and clinched the Women’s Ne-Waza Less 62kg gold medal.

Besides reigning in the ring, Constance is a Sport Singapore ambassador. The former Swimming Academy student-athlete raises awareness for mental and emotional health issues. She reaches out to her social media followers with videos and finds the time to be a mentor to primary school kids and youths at risk.
Debbie Soh Li Fei
Formerly from Mayflower Primary School

The only artistic swimmer to have won Sportsgirl of the Year award, Debbie Soh is a winner of 5 gold and 2 silver medals in 2 editions of SEA Games (2017 and 2015). Her medal collection also includes 6 gold and 2 bronze medals from 3 editions of the Southeast Asia Swimming Championships (2014, 2013 and 2012). Debbie was part of the team that won Singapore’s first-ever SEA Games artistic swimming gold medal in 2015.
Denise Lim Ke Xin
Formerly from Tao Nan School

The national sailor competed in the Mixed Nacra class at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro where she finished in 19th place after 12 races. She and her partner qualified for the Olympics Games by winning the Nacra 17 event at the International Sailing Federation World Cup in 2015, the first Singaporeans to win a World Cup event in sailing. Denise set sail again at the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China in 2023 where she and her husband Justin Liu took home a silver medal.
Dipna Lim Prasad
Formerly from CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School

Hailing from the pioneer batch of student-athletes, the former national hurdler was Singapore’s representative in the London 2012 Olympic Games. Dipna has also won 3 silver and 1 bronze medals in 3 editions of SEA Games (2017, 2015 and 2013) and is the national record-holder in the Women’s 400m and Women’s 400m Hurdles events. At the 2017 SEA Games, she smashed Chee Swee Lee’s 43-year-old 400m record.

After a prodigious career, Dipna retired from the sport, but did not stop giving back for the love of sport. Besides being part of the SNOC Athletes’ Commission where she incites change in the sports ecosystem, she started her own social initiative called In My Shoes, where she collects preloved sports shoes and cleans them before giving them out to underprivileged kids and youths at risk.
Griselda Khng
Formerly from CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh)

The national sailor competed in the 49er FX class at the 2016 Olympics. She placed 15th for the event. A year earlier, Griselda won the gold in the same boat class at the 2015 SEA Games.

Griselda began making her mark on the international stage from a young age. At 14 years old, she won her first SEA Games gold medal in the Girls Optimist event. The following year in 2006, she continued to triumph in the Optimist event, winning titles at the Optimist Worlds and IODA Asian Championship. In 2012, Griselda sailed into third place in the 420 World Championship.
Isabelle Li Siyun
Formerly from Chongfu School

The former national paddler boasts an impressive collection of medals: A silver from the Girls Singles at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games, and 2 Team golds and 2 Singles silvers at three SEA Games (2015, 2013 and 2011). In 2014, she aided her teammates to bring home a gold at the Commonwealth Games.

Besides excelling in sport, Isabelle trumped in her studies too. She graduated with a nearly perfect GPA of 3.98 out of 4.0 from the customised Diploma in Sports and Leisure Management programme at Singapore Sports School. Isabelle also clinched the Public Service Commission (PSC) Scholarship in 2015. She also received the Yale-NUS Dean Scholarship where she studied liberal arts at Yale-NUS College.

In 2017, she received a $55,000 cheque as a recipient of the Singapore Table Tennis Association’s Youth Endowment Fund.

Isabelle also served in the SNOC Athletes’ Commission from 2017 to 2020.
Janice Yun Hui Wen
Formerly from Raffles Girls' Primary School

The former Table Tennis Academy student-athlete from the pioneer batch juggles multiple roles in her life. The current national Ultimate Frisbee player and lawyer by profession is passionate about championing sports and giving back to her alma mater as one of the Board of Directors at Singapore Sports School. She is also the President of the Singapore Sports School Alumni Association.
Jazreel Tan Shi Hua
Formerly from Tao Nan School

Crowned Bowler of the Year in 2015 by the Singapore Bowling Federation, Jazreel won her first individual SEA Games gold in 2015. In the same year, she won the Professional Women's Bowling Association (PBWA) Lubbock Sports Open in Texas, the first Singaporean to do so.

In 2014, Jazreel proved herself at the Incheon Asian Games, collecting 1 gold, 2 silvers and 1 bronze, and was known as Team Singapore’s most bemedalled athlete at the event.

The two-time Sportsgirl of the Year, was named United States Collegiate Bowler of the Year for three consecutive years (2010/2011 to 2012/2013), during her time studying Sports Management at Wichita State University.
Jovina Choo Bei Fen
Formerly from Marymount Convent School

The experienced match racing sailor flew Singapore’s flag in the Women’s 470 event at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, placing 20th. The previous year, Jovina secured 2 gold medals in the SEA Games Keelboat match and fleet racing events. Jovina rounded up golds in the 2015 SB20 Grand Slam and Match Race League 1, and in the 2014 Match Race League 1.

Apart from competing, Jovina was a part-time mentor and coach for her juniors and students from Kent Ridge Secondary School in sailing for seven years. She also set up Dream+ from 2009 to 2015 with four friends, as a way for youth athletes to gain sponsors.

She is currently a development manager with the World Olympians Association, dishing out expertise and consulting on athletic programmes and strategic planning to National Olympian Associations in the Asian region.
Jowen Lim Si Wei
Formerly from Rulang Primary School and Anderson Secondary School

Wushu exponent Jowen Lim Si Wei entered Singapore Sports School midway during his Diploma studies. The Diploma in Sports and Leisure Management student transferred from Republic Polytechnic’s main campus to take up the same programme offered at Sports School itself to enjoy the flexible and strong athlete-friendly support.

At the 2023 SEA Games, Jowen won a gold medal in the Men's Daoshu and Gunshu combined event and a silver medal in Changquan. Jowen has participated in four editions of the SEA Games (2023, 2021, 2019 and 2017), and has won 3 golds and 4 silvers for Singapore. He has also participated in the 19th Asian Games where he clinched a silver in the Men Daoshu & Gunshu All-Round. Continuing his fine form, Jowen was crowned world champion in the men’s Gunshu (cudgel) at the 16th World Wushu Championships held in Fort Worth, Texas. At the 15th World Wushu Championship in Shanghai in 2018, Jowen won bronze medals in both the Daoshu and Gunshu events.

He was one of the recipients of the Tan Howe Liang Excellence Award 2020.
Keefe Lau
Formerly from Jiemin Primary School

The former archery student-athlete was the first polytechnic student to receive the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Scholarship in 2019. He also received the prestigious Public Service Commission (PSC) Scholarship in the same year.

Keefe graduated from Republic Polytechnic in 2019 with a Diploma in Health Services Management (Merit) with a perfect GPA score of 4.0. For his excellent grades, he received many academic accolades, including the Board of Governors Award for Most Outstanding Graduate of the Year and The Ngee Ann Kongsi Award for Most Distinguished Graduate of the Year. During his schooling days, Keefe found a way to give back by volunteering his time at the Institute of Mental Health and at nursing homes.
Kimberly Lim Wei Yan
Formerly from Corporation Primary School

The national netballer has more than 90 international caps under her belt which includes appearances at the 2015 and 2019 Netball World Cup. In 2014, Kimberly was instrumental in the team’s win at the 2014 Asian Netball Championships. She also contributed to 1 gold and 1 silver medals in 2 editions of the SEA Games (2017 and 2015). The 2015 SEA Games was the first time the national netball team had claimed gold. She was also awarded Team of the Year (Team Sport) in 2015 and 2016 by the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC).
Koen Pang Yew En
Formerly from Ngee Ann Primary School

The left-handed paddler made 2019 a year to remember by becoming the first Singaporean to rank Under 18 World No. 1, seizing the spot from Russia’s Lev Katsman. He continued to strike gold by winning the Table Tennis Men’s Singles and a silver in the Men’s Doubles in the SEA Games the same year. He earned the title of Sportsboy of the Year 2019 at the Singapore Sports Awards. He is the first table tennis player to win the award since its establishment in 1978.

The alumnus, who graduated in 2019, continued to shine in National Service (NS). He was awarded the 2021 NSF Of The Year by the Singapore Army. The award is presented to outstanding full-time National Servicemen (NSF) who have demonstrated professionalism, leadership, and exemplary conduct during their NS. While serving his NS, Koen has also been flying the Singapore flag high as a national athlete. He participated in World Table Tennis Championships in 2021, and upset a higher-ranking opponent to reach the last 32, where he put up a strong fight against former world No. 1 Timo Boll.

He further solidified his position as a top player by securing the Men’s Team silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. In the same year, he also participated in the 2021 SEA Games where he won 1 gold and 2 bronze. At the 2023 SEA Games, he emerged victorious again by winning 2 gold medals. Since his SEA Games debut in 2019, Koen won a told of 4 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. In March 2023, Koen broke into the top 100 of the men's singles rankings.
Liang Xiao Yu
Formerly from Yu Neng Primary School

The shuttler, once ranked World No. 23 in 2017, competed in the 2016 Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro, where she participated in the Women’s Singles category. She also finished joint-9th in the Singles and Mixed Doubles events at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games.

Xiao Yu contributed to the Women’s Team bronze at the 2015 SEA Games and was part of the mixed team that won a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Loh Kean Yew
Loh Kean Yew was crowned Singapore's first badminton world champion after a stunning run to the title at the Badminton World Championships in Huelva, Spain in December 2021. He won higher-ranking opponents, including Denmark’s World No.1 and Olympic Champion Viktor Axelsen, to win the title.

He has also represented Singapore at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

For his outstanding performance, Kean Yew was honoured as The Straits Times Athlete of the Year 2021 and made it to the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list in 2022. He also won his maiden Sportsman of the Year award in the same year.
He holds eight Badminton World Federation titles so far: 2021 BWF World Championships, 2021 Hylo Open, 2021 YONEX Dutch Open, 2019 Thailand Masters, 2018 Mongolia International, 2017 Malaysia International, and 2014 and 2017 Singapore International. He is also the first male Singaporean badminton player to play professionally for a European club – Denmark’s Langhoj Badminton Club.

Celebrated as the nation’s top Men’s Singles shuttler, Kean Yew took home 2 silver and 6 bronze medals in 5 editions of the SEA Games from 2015 to 2023.
Lyn Yeo Siew Lyn
Formerly from Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School

The former national gymnast made a bold decision to join Singapore Sports School in Secondary 2 as she wanted to excel in both sports and academics. Lyn can boast two SEA Games representations, as well as an excellent International Baccalaureate Diploma examinations score of 44 out of 45 points. She is currently a physiotherapy student at the Singapore Institute of Technology, and aspires to help patients recuperate and reach their fullest potential, just like her.
Martina Lindsay P Veloso
Formerly from Innova Primary School

The national shooter was the youngest to nab a World Cup gold medal in the history of the ISSF competition history. She was only 14 when she emerged victorious over some of the best shooters in the world at the 2014 ISSF World Cup in Munich. The same year, she was also the youngest shooting participant at the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games where she claimed the 10m Air Rifle silver.

Martina herself contributed to two out of the three gold medals Singapore won at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. She has participated in 3 editions of SEA Games (2021, 2017 and 2015), and won 2 golds and 1 bronze. She won her first individual SEA Games gold medal in 2017.

Martina also actively contributes to the sporting community as a member of the Singapore National Olympic Council Athletes’ Commission and is a brand ambassador for SportSG.
Maximillian Ang Wei
Formerly from St. Andrew's Junior School

The national swimmer in the through-train Diploma in Sports and Leisure course made his debut in the SEA Games in 2019 where he won a bronze medal and broke the national record for the Men's 200m Breaststroke event. Since then, he lowered his record a few times before he smashed the SEA Games record and set a new national record with his golden performance at the 2021 SEA Games. In the same edition of the Games, he finished with 5 medals (2 golds, 1 silver, 2 bronzes), 2 national records and 3 personal best timings. Besides the Men's 200m Breaststroke event, Maximillian is the national record holder for Men's 100m Breaststroke and Men's 200m Individual Medley. Maximillian participated at the 2023 SEA Games again where he added another 2 bronze medals.

The breaststroke specialist has also represented Singapore at the 19th FINA World Championships 2022, Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games and FINA World Junior Swimming Championships.
Mohamad Irwan Abdul Rahman
Formerly from Woodlands Primary School

The national shooter has broken the national record thrice, and won 1 silver and 1 bronze in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle in two editions of the SEA Games in 2017 and 2019 respectively. Despite his heavy sport commitments, Irwan graduated among the top of his cohort in the through-train Diploma in Sports and Leisure Management course. He received a Diploma with Merit and the Republic Award, conferred by Republic Polytechnic, for his excellent grades.
Muhammad Jaris Goh Ali Akbar Goh
Formerly from St. Anthony'S Primary School

Muhammad Jaris Goh started off his journey at Singapore Sports School as a Secondary 1 student-athlete. After finishing his GCE N-Level examinations, Jaris went on to ITE before he returned to Sports School to complete his Diploma studies. As he was well-aware of the school’s athlete-friendly support, he chose to do the Diploma in Sport Management offered jointly with Republic Polytechnic.

The national kegler participated in 4 editions of SEA Games (2021, 2019, 2017 and 2015), and won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronzes. He was named Bowler of the Year by the Singapore Bowling Federation in 2019, and was the first bowler to be awarded The Straits Times Athlete of the Year. Jaris successfully captained the Singapore men’s team to several milestone achievements in major competitions – 2017 SEA Games Men’s Team gold, 2018 Asian Games Men’s Trios bronze, and 2018 World Men’s Championships the same year.

Jaris is currently a Member of the Singapore Sports School Alumni Association.
Muhammad Safuwan Baharudin
Formerly from Woodlands Primary School

The national footballer was part of the Singapore Sports School’s pioneer batch of student-athletes. He was the first Sports School football player to be capped by Singapore in 2010 when he played against Thailand in the King’s Cup. The defender went on to star for the LionsXII in the Malaysia League and Cup competitions. He was named The Straits Times Athlete of the Year in 2013.

Safuwan notably secured a three-month loan at A-League Club Melbourne City where he became the first Singaporean to score a goal in the A-League, the top flight in Australian soccer.

Safuwan currently plays for Selangor FA in the Malaysia Super League.
Muhammad Shaheed Alam Meqsud Alam
Formerly from Fernvale Primary School

The first male Singaporean to win a Singles title in the International Tennis Federation Junior Tournament in 2015, Shaheed was inducted into the National Men’s team at the age of 15, after playing his first Davis Cup.

Shaheed is known as Singapore’s highest-ranked ATP player (career-high singles ranking of No. 1743). He has competed in the 2015, 2017 and 2019 SEA Games. He is one of the first two Singaporeans to compete in the ATP 250 Singapore Tennis Open in 2021.
Mylene Ong Chui Bin
Formerly from Methodist Girls' School (Primary)

As a competitive swimmer, Mylene was part of the national team that snared gold at the SEA Games in 2009 and 2011. Together with her teammates, Mylene helped to set new national records in the 4x100m and 4x200m Freestyle events. Amongst her sterling achievements, Mylene also competed in the 2012 Olympic Games 100m Freestyle event. The student-athlete from Singapore Sports School’s pioneer batch had returned to her alma mater where she was a coach and played a role in developing swimmers for Singapore.
New Hui Fen
Formerly from Raffles Girls' Primary School

The Singapore Sports School bowling alumna has 18 years of bowling experience under her belt. In 2021, Hui Fen was part of the Women's Trio team that won a bronze medal at the International Bowling Federation Super World Championships. She has also collected 4 silvers and 1 bronze from 3 editions of the World Bowling Women’s Championships (2017, 2015, 2011). In 2016, the 2015 Asian Championships double gold medallist won the Professional Women's Bowling Association (PBWA) Tour Championship and was named PWBA Rookie of the Year. She gave her best performance yet at the 2019 SEA Games, returning with 3 golds and 1 silver medal. She continued her fine form in the 2021 SEA Games, clinching 2 golds in the Women's Doubles and Team of Four, and 1 bronze in the Women's Singles. Hui Fen has participated in 5 editions of SEA Games (2021, 2019, 2017, 2015 and 2011), and won 6 golds, 6 silvers, 2 bronzes.
Nur ‘Aqilah Afiqah Andin Agustino Saman
Formerly from Jurong West Primary School

At just 16, the netballer was the youngest player to be called up to the National Squad in 2012. In 2014, she and her team were the Women’s Team Champion at the Asian Netball Championships and she received the Goh Chok Tong Youth Promise Award for her achievements. Among her other achievements are the 2017 and 2019 SEA Games silver medals, 2017 Nations Cup bronze, and Asian Youth Netball Championships bronze in 2015 and gold in 2017.
Scott Ang Yiqiang
Formerly from Shuqun Primary School

The former triathlete is Singapore Sports School’s first alumnus to be presented with the President’s Scholarship in 2013. In 2012, he was presented the Public Service Commission’s Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Overseas Scholarship, as well as the Sword of Honour, after his course at the Officer Cadet School. The 2009 graduate had represented Singapore in Triathlon at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games.
Sheik Farhan Sheik Alau’ddin
Formerly from Punggol Primary School

Singapore’s only four-time world champion in Pencak Silat, Sheik Farhan dominated in the World Pencak Silat Championships in 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2022.

Farhan has participated in 4 editions of SEA Games (2023, 2021, 2017 and 2015), and won 3 golds and 1 bronzes. He also collected the Asian Pencak Silat Championships gold in 2016, 2017 and 2019 and a bronze in the 2018 Asian Games.

In 2019, Sheik Farhan was one of seven to receive the prestigious Singapore Youth Award by the National Youth Council. He actively works towards preserving the art of Pencak Silat. His many roles includes training and motivating younger Pencak Silat athletes, and acting as a mentor for them. In 2021, he was named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list.
Simon Lee Renjie
Formerly from Anglo-Chinese School (Junior)

Simon, a Diploma in Business Studies student-athlete in Singapore Sports School’s customised post-secondary programme, participated in 3 editions (2023, 2021, 2019) of SEA Games and bagged 1 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze.

Simon also won a silver in the Cadet Men’s Epee individual event at the 2019 Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships. Prior to that, Simon edged out his rivals to clinch the gold medal at the Men’s Epee Individual at the 2018 Asian Cadet Circuit in Wuxi, and a bronze in the USA Fencing National Championships Cadet Men’s Epee in the same year.
Tao Li
Formerly from Queenstown Primary School

The first Singaporean swimmer to qualify for an Olympic final, Tao Li is a three-time world gold medallist, and two-time Asian gold medallist. She participated in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, as well as amassed 30 gold medals as the SEA Games. Tao Li was designated one of the Chef-de-Mission for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, and was named Sportswoman of the Year in 2007 and 2008. For her sport achievements, Tao Li was inducted into Singapore’s Sport Hall of Fame in 2019, joining more than 50 of the country’s sport icons.

Tao Li launched her own swimming academy, called the Tao Li Swimming Club, where she teaches all levels of students from beginners to competitive swimmers.
Trevor Tan Xu Xuan
Formerly from Jurong West Primary School

The speed skater is one of three competitors who represented Singapore in the nation’s showing at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, Switzerland. Among his other accolades, Trevor has won the Men’s Junior B (15-16years old) 1,000m race at the SEA Open Short Track Trophy and was the first Singaporean to win a gold medal in the 2019 Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy when he finished first in the Men’s Junior B 1,000m event. At the 2019 SEA Games, Trevor contributed to Singapore’s win in the Men’s 3000m Relay.

He is currently doing the Extended International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Singapore Sports School.
Veronica Shanti Pereira
Formerly from CHIJ (Katong) Primary

The fastest woman in Singapore holds more than 15 national records in the Open and various age-group categories in 100m, 200m, 4x100m and 4x400m. She is the first female Singaporean to clock under 12s in the 100m and under 24s in the 200m.
She represented Singapore in Athletics at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and recorded a Season Best time of 23.69s in the 200m race.

She has participated in in 6 editions of SEA Games (2023, 2021, 2019, 2017, 2015, 2013) and raced her way to 4 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals. In 2015, Shanti became the first sprinter in 42 years to win the 200m gold medal at the SEA Games. At the 2021 SEA Games, she repeated her iconic moment to win the 200m gold medal with a new National Record and Personal Best timing of 23.52s.

Shanti has been in excellent form through 2023. At the 2023 SEA Games, she created history by becoming the first Singaporean to complete the sprint double – i.e. gold in 100m and 200m events, en route to smashing the national record in the 100m and 200m, as well as the meet record in the 200m. At the Asian Athletics Championships, she made history yet again by winning Singapore’s first-ever Asian Athletics Championships gold medal in the 100m event and broke the national record for the sixth time that year. She went on to win Singapore’s second gold medal in the 200m, clinching her maiden sprint double at the Championships. Continuing her winning streak, Shanti won historic 200m gold medal at the 19th Asian Games held in 2023 in Hangzhou, China. This is Singapore’s first athletics gold medal since 1974 at the Asian Games, and it came after she took a silver in the Women's 100m.

Shanti graduated from the through-train Diploma in Sports and Leisure Management course in 2018 before enrolling in Singapore Management University’s School of Accountancy. She was the first recipient of SMU’s Yip Pin Xiu Scholarship, a full sports scholarship.
Yeo Jia Min
Formerly from Nanyang Primary School

Jia Min flew the Singapore flag high at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021. She had a string of good results in 2021, including finishing runner-up at the 2021 Hylo Open, which led her to become the first Singaporean shuttler to qualify for the Badminton World Federation World Tour Finals. Her best ranking to date is No.16 globally.

Singapore’s top female shuttler is recognised for her victory over No. 1 Akane Yamaguchi at the Badminton World Federation World Championships in 2019. She is also the first female Singaporean to reach the quarter-finals of the World Championships. Jia Min has bagged 5 team bronze medals in 5 editions of the SEA Games (2023, 2021, 2019, 2017, and 2015). She is also the first female Singaporean badminton player to turn out for the professional European Club AB Aarhus Badminton Club.
