Project Champions Way
In conjunction with our 20th Anniversary, the Sports School family set out to raise funds for the Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) through various initiatives. Student-athletes had to pledge their effort to complete a distance through a physical activity. Student-athletes and staff came together for the ‘Final Race Day’ to complete their final distance by walking, running or swimming. A charity bowling event was also held on 6 April 2024 as part of the Project Champions Way. Sports School’s efforts towards supporting disability sports raised $41,888 for SDSC.
Our Sports School family turned up in full force for Project Champions Way on 18 April 2024. Mr Chin Khen Theen led us for the warm ups.
All ready at the starting line! Our friends, Javier Hong Jie Wen and Liang Yi Ting from the Cerebral Palsy Alliance School, joined us on really cool walkers!
It was go time! Our Principal, Mr Ong Kim Soon, flagged us off and the track was filled with enthusiastic runners and walkers.
Other than running and walking, there were activities for everyone, including an aerobics session for those who prefer to “jump on the spot”.
There were tokens given out to our Superheroes who took the extra effort to don masks for the run and what better way to end the event other than with a sumptuous dinner!
Strike A Chord! A charity bowl was held on 6 April 2024, where student-athletes and their loved ones had to knock down 20,000 pins to get a donation from a sponsor. They also sold the pins which were designed by the Bowling Academy to raise funds.
