FOR SINGAPOREANS
POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIP
The Post-Secondary Scholarship is offered to Singaporean student-athletes based on a holistic assessment of their sports achievements, academic progression, character and good conduct. Application is not required. Student-athletes who meet the scholarship criteria will be nominated for the scholarship. Each scholarship award is tenable for up to two years.

Student-athletes need to meet all the criteria below to be considered for the scholarship:
Meeting the eligibility criteria does not automatically lead to the award of the scholarship. The school management will approve the list of scholarship awardees.

- Singapore Citizen
- Studying in Singapore Sports School’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme or Polytechnic programme
- Able to progress academically to the next level
- Sport achievement:
- Member of the National Team/National Youth Team and Senior Representation at Major Games/Competitions; or
- Member of the National Team/National Youth Team and Youth Representation at Major Youth Games/Competitions with medal(s)
- Good conduct with no major disciplinary issues

TEMASEK FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR SPORTS
The Temasek Foundation Scholarship for Sports (formerly known as the EW Barker Scholarship), is made possible by the EW Barker Endowment. The Endowment is a tribute to one of the pioneer leaders of Singapore, Mr Edmund William Barker, who was a statesman, scholar, sportsman and supporter of sport.
Launched in 2019, the scholarship provides financial support to deserving student-athletes with sports potential, good conduct and satisfactory academic results.
Application is not required. Student-athletes who meet the scholarship criteria will be nominated.

ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
The Achievement Scholarship is offered to Singaporean student-athletes based on a holistic assessment of their sports achievements, academic progression, character and good conduct.
Application is not required. Student-athletes who meet the scholarship criteria will be nominated for the scholarship. Each scholarship award is tenable for up to two
years.
Eligibility Criteria
Student-athletes need to meet all the criteria below
to be considered for the scholarship:
- Singapore Citizen studying in Singapore Sports School at Secondary 2 to Secondary 5
- Able to progress academically to the next level
- Top 4-ranked Singaporean in the age group; or member of national youth team/national team, or equivalent. Additional sport-specific criteria may apply
- Good conduct with no major disciplinary issues

ADMISSIONS SCHOLARSHIP
The Admission Scholarship is offered to incoming Secondary 1 Singaporean students who possess outstanding sport achievements. Selection is based on outstanding performances at National Inter-Primary School or National Age-Group competitions, together with the potential to excel in future.
Application is not required. Prospective student-athletes who meet the scholarship criteria will be shortlisted for a scholarship interview. The scholarship is awarded for a period of two years from Secondary 1 to Secondary 2.

UPLIFT SCHOLARSHIP

Sports School's student-athletes who receive 100% fee subsidy under Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), meet academic progression criterion to advance to the next level of study, and have good conduct will be awarded the UPLIFT Scholarship. No application is required.
To apply for FAS, submit the application form and relevant documents online via our School Information and Administration System (SIAS).
There are various scholarships from external organisations available to high-performing athletes in Singapore.
SPEXSCHOLARSHIP
The Sports Excellence Scholarship (spexScholarship) provides an enhanced level of support for athletes within the High Performance Sports (HPS) pathway. SINGAPORE OLYMPIC FOUNDATION (SOF)-PETER LIM SCHOLARSHIP
In June 2010, the Singapore Olympic Foundation (SOF) set up the SOF-Peter Lim Scholarship with a S$10-million donation from philanthropist and sports enthusiast, Mr Peter Lim. The gift remains the single largest donation in Singapore from an individual towards sports development. The driving force behind the Scholarship is the desire to ensure that no promising young athlete, committed to chasing his sporting dreams, should be hampered by financial considerations.
The scholarship is awarded only to Singapore citizens who are either:
- financially-deserving and promising athletes from primary, secondary/junior college and tertiary educational institutions; or
- talented athletes under 18 years old who have represented Singapore in overseas competitions.
