Celebrating Sports Achievers
Awards Day 2025
On 20 January 2025, 102 student-athletes were recognised for attaining sport achievements in 2025. They celebrated their achievements with their loved ones and the Sports School family at the Auditorium.
Among the recipients, there were 61 student-athletes from the Secondary programme and 41 student-athletes from the post-secondary programme. They received their awards from our Principal, Mr Ong Kim Soon, who reiterated the importance of celebrating their journey and growth. During his speech, Mr Ong said, “These achievements are not the end in themselves. You have all received your medals for your achievements. Today, we bring you back not to layer over one more award; or just to give you one more paper. But to celebrate with you your journey of growth; to encourage you to persevere; and for you to encourage our aspiring student-athletes.”
One of the recipients from the secondary programme was bowler Nura Salsabila Zulkifli, who represented Singapore and medalled at the 35th and 36th editions of the Asian Inter-City Bowling Championships and the 23rd Asian Junior Tenpin Bowling Championships received her first Sports Achiever Award. She shared, “Being able to attain this prestigious award once again affirms me of my own sporting motivations and continues to push me to strive for even bigger goals. This award serves as a reminder of the hard work and effort that ive put into my sport and makes me feel a great sense of pride.”
