Talent Showcase At Shooting NSG
National School Games - ‘A’ and ‘B’ Division
During the National School Games (NSG) Shooting Championships, our shooters showcased precision and determination amidst fierce competition, securing commendable positions in both the 'A' and 'B' Divisional Titles.
The NSG season commenced with the ‘B’ Division, held from 1 to 5 April 2024. Jaymee Poh and Lee Zhe Kai impressed with their outstanding performances. Jaymee Poh shot a total of 233.7 points in the 10m Air Rifle Women’s final to finish in 3rd place, while Lee Zhe Kai took 4th place in the Air Rifle Men’s final with 221.4 points. The collective efforts of the girls, comprising Jaymee Poh, Samantha Cheng, Amelia Noor Hisham, and Chloe Tan, ultimately led to a fourth-place finish in the divisional title.
The momentum carried on with the ‘A’ Division team taking the stage. Throughout the competition from 15 to 19 April 2024, our shooters delivered remarkable performances, clinching 3rd and 4th places overall for girls and boys, respectively. David Loo emerged as a standout performer, claiming the top spot in the 10m Air Rifle Men category with an impressive score of 243.3 points. Not to be outdone, Soh Yi Wei also showcased exceptional skill and composure, securing second place in the intensely competitive 10m Air Rifle Women Individual event with 246.4 points.
Beyond mere accolades, the achievement of our shooters at the NSG reflects their unwavering commitment and passion for the sport. It stands as a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and the unwavering support of their coaches and teammates.
