ROAR Awards (January 2024)
Two Secondary 4 student leaders stood out for their excellent leadership skills showcased during the Secondary One Orientation Camp (SSOC) for Secondary 1 student-athletes.
Jayden Ng from the Track and Field Academy was recognised for giving good leadership and direction to the Orientation Group Leaders (OGLs). The OGLs were able to lead their juniors through all the different activities and made it an enjoyable and meaningful orientation for the new batch. Jayden also stood out because of his leadership in planning and executing the school dance. He was the creative mind behind the ideation and choreography of the school dance and took effort to teach student leaders and prepare himself to be the lead trainer. For displaying a tremendous sense of responsibility and excellence, Jayden received the ROAR Award.
Swimmer Magdalene was also recognised with the ROAR Award as she demonstrated remarkable leadership by meticulously planning a meaningful multi-sport experience for her juniors. Also, Magdalene missed out on her dinner with other student leaders to help a distressed junior who misplaced her phone. Magdalene’s kindness and compassion deeply touched the student-athlete.
