Artistic Swimming: Singapore National Age Group Artistic Swimming Championships

From 21 to 23 June 2024, Janelle Yeo Rui En bagged 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal at the Singapore National Age Group Artistic Swimming Championships. Her gold medals in Solo Technical, Duet Technical and Duet Frees have boosted the confidence of the IBDP Year 5 artistic swimmer. Her only silver medal is in the Solo Free routine.
Cycling: YSD Track Series
Valencia Tan is on the fast track to success. She added another achievement to her list of accolades at the YSD Track Series held in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, on 1 and 2 June 2024. Competing in the Women Elite Endurance race, Valencia finished 1st in the Elimination and Motorpace Scratch Race twice before completing her time out on the tracks with a 3rd place finish in the Sprint event.
Golf: Mandiri Ciputra Golfpreneur Junior World Championship 2024, Singapore Junior Golf Championship 2024, Chang Thailand Junior Golf Circuit
Passion continued her fine form at the Mandiri Ciputra Golfpreneur Junior World Championship 2024, which was held from 12 to 14 June in Jakarta, Indonesia. Her senior Aaron Wee Zheng Kai also participated in the competition, which attracted 113 participants from 20 countries. Against tough competition from top junior golfers around the world, the duo secured a commendable 4th place in the Boys’ A and Girls’ B divisions respectively.
Chloe Ng Ker Ee also had a successful outing to the Chang Thailand Junior Golf Circuit from 29 to 30 June 2024. The golfer placed 3rd in the Super Junior Girl category after Thailand and Japan respectively.
Shooting: Singapore Youth Olympic Festival
30 shooters were also hosted by the Chinese Taipei Shooting Association at the Meihua Cup from June 13 to 20. Student-athletes valued the experience of competing in various categories, including University, High School and Junior, in both mixed team and individual events.

Sport Climbing: Transend 2024
Secondary 1 student-athlete Janelle Phua Jing En participated in Transend 2024 organised by NTU University Mountaineering Club from 28 to 30 June 2024 and climbed to the 1st and 2nd spots for the Mixed Team event and individual Women’s Novice category respectively. At the same competition, Natalie Goh Sihui, who is a first-year Diploma in Business student-athlete, placed 2nd in the Open category.
Taekwondo: Singapore Virtual Taekwondo Open Championships 2024
Track and Field: ASEAN School Games 2024, Taiwan Open, Thailand Open
Student-athletes took the opportunity to pit themselves against strong competitors during the June holidays including the ASEAN School Games 2024 from 31 May to 9 June 2024, Taiwan Open from 1 to 2 June, Thailand Open from 13 to 17 June, and Malaysia Open from 14 to 16 June.
At the ASEAN School Games, Lucas Fun Le Cong broke his personal best in 110m hurdles, clocking 13.78s in the race, which won him a bronze medal. He was one of the two trackers in the 100-strong contingent that participated in the competition from 31 May to 8 June 2024 in Da Nang, Vietnam.
Alumna Tia Lousie Rozario bagged a silver medal in long jump at the Taiwan Open, while alumnus Andrew George Medina is now the all-time 3rd-best triple jumper after a new personal best of achieving a distance of 15.43m at the competition.
At the Thailand Open, it was second-year Diploma in Business Studies student-athlete Huang Weijun’s turn to hit a new personal record in Men’s 200m.
Triathlon: Bintan Triathlon, Perak Triathlon
He continued his fine form at the Perak Triathlon on 30 June where he bagged a 3rd-place podium finish after completing his race in 1:11:55.
Water Polo: 59th MILO/PRM Malaysia Invitational Age Group (MIAG) Water Polo Championships 2024, Ogaki Cup, World Aquatics Men’s U16 Water Polo Championships 2024

Another 5 water polo players in the Men’s National Development Squad finished 4th at the Ogaki Cup before they headed to the World Aquatics Men’s U16 Water Polo Championships 2024 in Malta where they competed against the world’s best youth teams. They finished an impressive 20th out of 32 teams, making them the highest-ranking Asian team.
Wrestling: 1st Sambo Sport & Combat Bandung Open 2024, Thailand National Championships
Heba Lutfina Jbour fought hard and won the silver medal in the 46kg U17 Women's Freestyle Wrestling, executing three pins and an impressive technical fall at 10-0. She won a silver after a close 5-4 win against her opponent.
Wushu: 2024 Asian University Wushu Championships, 2024 ASEAN University Games Wushu Competition

4 Wushu exponents put up a strong showing at the 2024 Asian University Wushu Championships. At the competition held in Harbin, China from 19 to 24 June 2024, our student-athletes contributed 4 out of 5 medals won by Team Singapore. This included the only gold medal won by Kassandra Ong Xue Ling in Women’s Nangun.
Also, alumni Chan Jun Kai and Kimberly Ong Li Ling who represented Singapore at the 2024 ASEAN University Games Wushu Competition from 27 to 30 June at Surabaya, Indonesia, won gold in Men’s Optional Taijijian and bronze in Women’s Optional Changquan respectively.
