Jovan Masters Thailand U18
2019 MWA-SINGHA Thailand International Open Tenpin Bowling Championship
A high game of 266 pinfalls in Game 4 boosted Secondary 4 bowler Jovan Chua Min Han to the top of the leaderboard in the Finals before he eventually lifted the Youth Under 18 Masters trophy at the end of eight games.
Jovan pulled through a shaky start to record strong scores in Games 4 and 5, knocking down 246 pinfalls in the latter, to extend his lead in the U18 Masters Finals at the 45th MWA-SINGHA Thailand International Open Tenpin Bowling Championship on 8 April 2019. The Singapore Sports School bowler won the event with a combined score of 1,689 pinfalls which gave him a 33-pinfall margin between second-best bowler Abdul Khadir Haziq Ramli from Malaysia.
Sports School's student-athletes and alumni performed well in the tournament in Bangkok from 3 to 15 April. Five made the U18 Masters Finals, while three made the cut in the U21 category. Six of the eight finalists finished amongst the top 10 bowlers in their respective categories.
