Alumni Shoot Up In Ranking

Quick firing and excitement filled the air as shooters were eager to put their skills to the test at the Singapore Cup 2 held from 26 March to 1 May 2022. Past and present student-athletes participated in the one-month competition, and submitted creditable results, particularly our alumni who stood high up in the rankings.
At the Women’s 10m Air Rifle event, which took place on 26 March, Fernel Tan Qian Ni, who just graduated from the Diploma in Business, topped the ranking list with 628.8 points while alumna Ho Xiu Yi took third place with 625.1 points. Their composed and measured approach continued to show results on 27 March as they remained in the top three positions.
Meanwhile, alumna Martina Lindsay P Veloso also got into the rhythm of hitting the inner 10s with speed and accuracy. Her ranking crawled up from 7th place in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle event on 27 March to third place on 23 April.
Martina also stood out from the crowd in the 50m Rifle 3 positions event, where she defended her top position on 10 and 17 April. Alumna and Olympian Adele Tan Qian Xiu also proved to be a strong opponent in the event as she climbed up the ranking from third place on 10 April to second place on 17 April.
