Honouring Past And Present SEA Games-Bound Student-Athletes

31st Southeast Asian Games Send-Off Ceremony

The hours our student-athletes spent training, pushing their own limits, discovering their strengths in competitions, and upping the bar of their personal bests have led them to moments like this.

The Southeast Asian (SEA) Games is a major milestone in their sporting careers. 91 past and present student-athletes from Singapore Sports School can stand proud having been selected to represent Singapore in the major Games in Hanoi, Vietnam come 12 to 23 May 2022.

“For the 91 of you heading to Hanoi, we celebrate with you your achievements. You are beneficiaries of all the people who love you, and supported you; you stand on the shoulders of giants. May you also be the giants for your juniors. For the 33 of you who will be making your maiden outing to the SEA Games, stay strong and courageous!” said Mr Ong Kim Soon, Principal of the Singapore Sports School, during the Send-Off Ceremony held in Sports School on 27 April 2022.

The proud student-athletes were also acknowledged by Team Singapore Chef de Mission, Mr S Sinnathurai, who was the Guest-of-Honour at the Ceremony. Mr Sinnathurai presented a specially designed poster and a ROAR soft toy to each athlete during the event, witnessed by family and loved ones.

We are proud of Team Sports School that will be heading to the SEA Games and we wish them all the best. Go Team Singapore!
