Virtual Open House Came Alive
e-Open House 2022
The e-Open House on 2 April 2022 attracted over 450 attendees to the webinar where Principal Ong Kim Soon shared about the School and how our athlete-friendly programmes support student-athletes in balancing sports and studies. Deputy Director of the National Youth Sports Institute (NYSI), Dr Low Chee Yong also shared how NYSI supports student-athletes in sports science and medicine, athlete life management, youth coaching, and talent identification.
The final sharing was by current student-athletes, President of the 18th Student Council, Sabrina Lee Jingyi (IBDP Year 6, Badminton), and 31st SEA Games-bound student-athlete Maximillian Ang Wei (Extended Diploma in Sport and Leisure Management, Swimming). They shared their experience and how the School has supported them in their sporting journey.
The webinar culminated with a Question & Answer session, consisting of Principal Ong Kim Soon, Dr Su Chun Wei (Director, NYSI), Tan Bee Lian (Director, Sports), Soon Choon Boon (Director, Corporate Services), Dr Irwin Seet (Director, Student Development), Joshua Sing Chye Phong (Assistant Director, Boarding and Business), Sabrina and Maximillian.
A live chat was also held after the webinar. Public could access the live chat session through the Sports School website to have their questions answered immediately.
