IN PICTURES: Singapore’s 57th Birthday Bash
National Day Celebrations
Student-athletes and staff donned national colours at the school auditorium on 8 August 2022 to celebrate Singapore’s 57th birthday. The celebration kicked off with the National Day Observance Ceremony, singing of the National Anthem and reciting of the pledge. This was followed by a video of Minister Chan Chun Sing giving his National Day Message and a video recollecting the contributions of our key leaders and the pioneer generation. Student-athletes also put up song and dance performances that lifted the spirit of the celebration. The hour-long session culminated on a high with a National Day theme magic show and community singing of the National Day theme songs.
The fun continued as student-athletes and staff embarked on their learning journeys to various places of interest suchas the Sports Hub and Museum, Chinatown, Little India, Kampung Sembawang, Changi Airport, Harmony in Diversity Gallery @ Ministry of National Development and Dialogue in the Dark @ Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where they learnt about the past, present and future of Singapore, as well as the challenges and opportunities presented to us as a nation.
