Dynamic Duo Nge Joo Jie And Johann Prajogo Top BWF Junior Rankings
BWF Junior Rankings, Men’s Doubles
Dynamic badminton duo Nge Joo Jie and Johann Prajogo set their sights high up the BWF Junior Men’s Doubles ranking table earlier this year and started working their way to the top. They played in multiple tournaments locally and overseas – notably the Croatia Valamar Junior Open and Bulgaria Junior Open Championships in June this year where they were crowned champions in both tournaments.
By November, they were ranked 13th but felt that breaking into top 10 was within reach and a possibility. The duo kept their heads down and continued with their hard work. Winning match after match, they rose steadily up the ranks. Their progression saw them playing in two quarter-final matches in the Bahrain International Series and Bahrain International Challenge in November and December respectively. Their efforts were rewarded when they not only broke into the top 10 of the BWF Junior Rankings for Men’s Doubles, but reached the number 1 spot!
“We are happy and satisfied with this achievement and we would like to thank the Singapore Sports School, our coaches, families and friends for the support throughout the year. We enjoy competing for our country and our aspirations are to represent Singapore in future major games,” said Johann.
