This included a 1-2-3 finish in both the Women’s Singles and Doubles events. In Women’s Singles finals, alumna Nur Insyirah Khan Abdul Hamid Khan and Diploma in Business Studies Year 2 student-athlete Megan Lee Xinyi set sight on the gold medal, with top seed Insyirah eventually winning the game 21-16, 21-18. Insyriah had also defeated alumna Lim Ming Hui in the semi-finals which put Ming Hui in a joint-third position.
Going stronger with her gains at the Women’s Singles, Megan partnered with Grace Chua in the Women’s Doubles event and took home the gold medal after defeating Ming Hui (with partner Liang Yun). Fellow schoolmates Elsa Lai Yi Ting and Heng Xiao En won the bronze medal.
Our post-secondary male shuttlers also put up a strong showing in both the Singles and Doubles events. Lim Ming Hong and Marcus Phil Lau Jun Hui took home the Singles silver and bronze medals respectively. It was an all-Sports School Men’s Doubles finals with Johann Prajogo and Nge Joo Jie, and Nge Joo Jin and Nicholas Kat Zi Shun vying for the top spot.
