Stellar Performance By Our Pencak Silat Warriors In Indonesia
Bekasi Open Challenge 7 International Tournament
The fearless reputation of our Pencak Silat student-athletes shone in international competitions. This time, our past and present Pencak Silat warriors outperformed their competition at the 7th Bekasi Open Challenge in Bekasi, Indonesia from 3 to 5 February 2023.
The warriors contributed 12 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze to Team Singapore’s total medal tally of a whopping 26 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals from 40 events. The Overall Champions trophy awarded to Team Singapore at the end of the event added extra gloss to the glittering list of achievement. Post-secondary student-athlete Nadhrah Sahrin was named Best Female Senior Athlete while Secondary 5 student-athlete Muhammad Naufal Abdullah took home the Best Male Junior Athlete award.
