Trio Are Multi-Medallists At Sea Age
2019 South East Asia Age Group Swimming Championships
Singapore Sports School’s swimmers got off to a good start at the 43rd South East Asia Age Group Swimming Championships, winning 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals for Singapore on the first day of competition in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Student-athletes Clydi Chan (Secondary 3), Luke Tan Yu Yang (DSPM Year 1) and Mitchell Ang Li (Secondary 4) clinched 2 medals apiece on 28 June 2019.
Over the next two days of competition, the three swimmers contributed to another 3 silver medals for an overall tally of 11 golds, 16 silvers and 16 bronzes by Singapore. This placed Singapore third in the 10-nation competition.
Diploma in Sport Management Year 1 student-athlete Luke was Sports School’s most bemedalled swimmer at the meet with 1 gold, 2 silvers and 1 bronze.
