In a heartwarming display cultural appreciation, student-athletes gathered for a memorable indoor picnic at the school auditorium to commemorate Racial Harmony Day on 17 July 2023.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as student-athletes were given a sumptuous array of pastries, each representing different ethnicities and cultures found in Singapore. As they enthusiastically indulged in a gastronomic journey, savouring pastries from various races, they also gained a better appreciation of different cultures through food.
Apart from indulging their taste buds, student-athletes also engaged in a Kahoot! game that tested their knowledge of Singapore's diverse heritage. The game did not only foster healthy competition but also provided an educational platform to learn about the various customs and traditions of different racial groups in Singapore. They also learnt the importance of social cohesion and respect for each other's cultures to maintain harmony in our multi-cultural society.
Throughout the week, more conversations and lessons on racial harmony were planned to further deepen their understanding and commitment to building a harmonious and cohesive society.
