Formidable Fencers Finish Top At Commonwealth Championships

Commonwealth Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships


Our fencers delivered outstanding performances on the pistes at the Commonwealth Junior and Cadet Championships 2024, held in Christchurch, New Zealand, from 12 to 19 July 2024.

Ace sabreur Dan Wei Zuo claimed the top spot in the Junior Men’s Sabre event. He was joined on the podium by Marcus Maximilian Tan, who secured 2nd place. In the Junior Team Men’s Sabre event, Josiah Wei Kai Ling and Lucas Tan Wei Feng paired with Wei Zuo and Marcus, earning a joint-3rd place finish.

Zephaniah Ian Kiew and Tan Le Kai exerted their dominance in the Junior Team Men’s Foil event, finishing in 1st place. Zephaniah also put up a strong fight in the Junior Men’s Foil event, earning an individual silver medal for his stellar performance.

Juliet Heng added to the medal tally, winning silver in the Junior Women’s Sabre event and a joint-bronze in the Junior Team Women’s Sabre event.
