Water Polo
The combined Singapore Sports School and Outram Secondary School Water Polo team fought hard to a 3rd place finish in their competition. 5 of our Secondary 2 student-athletes: Ryan Chua, Ethan Tan Zhi Jun, Dylan Tay Jun Ming, Russel Yuan Zhihan and Nathan Yeo Ren Jie teamed up with 8 Outram Secondary School boys and performed remarkably well in the pool.
Against a pool of stronger opposition, they synchronised their efforts and defeated St Andrews and Raffles Institution but lost to Anglo Chinese Independent and Anglo Chinese Barker Road. They faced Hwa Chong Institution in the 3rd and 4th placing match and left their fighting spirit on show in the pool. Ryan, Ethan, Russell bagged hat-tricks while Dylan netted a brace, after Outram boy Yurek Yu opened accounts. The final score 12-6 was worth celebrating for the boys.
