Wei Jin Notches Junior Title

2019 NSRCC Junior Open

Eng Wei Jin carded three consistent rounds at the 2019 NSRCC Junior Open to claim the Boys Overall Best Gross trophy with a total of 216 strokes for par. The Singapore Sports School’s golfer had a comfortable 4-stroke lead over his closest rival in the tournament held at NSRCC Kranji Sanctuary Golf Course from 11 to 13 June 2019.

Wei Jin, who is in his first year of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, showed incremental improvements of 73, 72, 71 strokes during the tournament to seal his win in the “A” Division – for golfers between 15 and 17 years old, as well as the overall competition field.

Former student-athlete Trevor Ng Hon Kai was named Best Gross Winner in the Boys “B” Division.
