Teachers For The Day Win ROAR Awards
ROAR Awards (February 2023)
Muhammad Hilman Norhisam, Muhammed Iman Zainudin, Jamie El-Redha Ang and Ezra Nur Iman Zainal were presented the ROAR Award for February 2023. The ROAR Award is awarded to exemplary student-athletes once every month to recognise those who exhibit the school values and inspire others to do the same.
During the annual Mother Tongue Fortnight, they did not hesitate to volunteer and devote their spare time to educate their juniors on the traditional instrument known as Kompang. Ezra was glad to be given the opportunity to pass on his knowledge of the instrument. He shared, “It is important for people to learn about their traditions because people should stay true to their roots and they should also have some knowledge about their own culture and tradition so that it can be passed down from one generation to another.”
The four student-athletes demonstrated great responsibility and teamwork, planning and designing an enriching learning experience for their juniors. They ensured that the session was n educational and entertaining. Their juniors benefitted greatly from the enriching session. They shared that the student-athletes who turned teachers for the session showed great care, dedication, patience, and professionalism during the lesson.
Hilman, Iman, Jamie and Ezra devoted their time to educate their juniors as they felt it was both important and meaningful, and we hope that this will inspire other students to do the same.
