Open House 2024
Our mascot, ROAR, warmly welcomed about 1600 visitors to the Sports School campus for Open House on 23 March 2024.
Principal Ong Kim Soon addressed parents and their children to give them a better understanding of Sports School’s athlete-friendly programmes, support and pathways.
Students had the opportunity to take on an accuracy challenge and spar with our student-athletes at the Badminton Hall.
Let’s fence! Several 30-minute workshops were conducted for participants to learn basic fencing techniques and movements. Also, visitors had a chance to try on fencing gear and take photos!
Our football coaches conducted two football workshops on the field for enthusiasts. Though it was an extremely hot day, participants enjoyed the session! Also, visitors could try out Teqball at The Cage.
It was so much fun at the Recreation Room where participants could test their throwing, running, and jumping skills conducted by the Multi-Sport Academy. The highlight? Trying out rock climbing!
Students could try out mini activities conducted by the Netball Academy at the Netball Courts.
Visitors had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hold an air rifle and understand the technology used by our shooters at the Shooting Range.
Can you serve a ping pong ball? That’s what participants could try out at the Table Tennis Hall. They also had a chance to play with some of our rising table tennis stars.
Keen to be the next Shanti Pereira? Participants could test their skills through simple and fun kids athletics activities.
At the National Youth Sports Institute, power and strength tryouts were conducted for visitors.
Welcome On Board! The boarding tour is one of the most highly-anticipated activities as it’s the only time we open our boarding facilities for viewing.
Our friendly student leaders took visitors on campus tours!
Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about Sports School from staff and parents at information booths.
A nice cuppa milo is all we need to seal the day!
Thank you to our parent volunteers for spending their Saturday morning with us to support us!
