Artistic Swimming: National Schools Artistic Swimming Championships
Artistic Swimmer Janelle Yeo Run En dazzled her way to a Bronze in the ‘A’ Division Individual Solo Free Routine at the annual National Schools Artistic Swimming Championships held from 23 to 24 March 2024 at Our Tampines Hub.

Golf: HSBC Youth Golf Challenge
At the 3rd leg of the HSBC Youth Golf Challenge from 13 to 15 March 2024, golfer Denise Ng Wan Xuan topped the table among the ‘A’ Girls Division. Other podium finishes include Irvyn Tan Sheng Kang and Passion Hsu Le Ting who finished 2nd in the ‘A’ Boys and ‘B’ Girls Divisions respectively.
Sport Climbing: Boruda Inter-School Bouldering Competition (Alexandra), Boruda Inter School Bouldering League (Sembawang), Inter School Bouldering Competition
Janelle and her senior Natalie Goh Sihui took part in two other competitions over the next 2 consecutive weekends. Natalie placed 3rd at both the Boruda Inter School Bouldering League (Sembawang) and Boruda Inter School Bouldering League (Alexandra) in the Tertiary category.
Taekwondo: 28th Asian Cities Taekwondo Championships
Track and Field: Hong Kong Junior Athletics Championships 2024
Despite it being an unexpectedly dry and hot day, Victoria Chua Si Yu completed the 2000m Steeplechase event in a personal record time and clinched the gold medal among the Under-18s at the Hong Kong Junior Athletics Championships 2024.
Triathlon: MetaSprint Series Duathlon
Triathlete Lim Wan Ting was the 1st among the 16-19-year-olds in the MetaSprint Series Duathlon competition to touch the finish line. Lim Cheng Yu, who participated in the same event, finished 5th among the boys.
They also raced on 23 March for Trifactor Aquathlon where Wan Ting placed 1st in the Girls’ 17 and over category while Cheng Yu came in 2nd in the Boys’ 17 and over category.

Water Polo: U14 National Water Polo League 2024
Five Sports School water polo players were in the winning teams of the Under-14 National Water Polo League 2024, which concluded on 24 March 2024. Dylan Tay Jun Ming and Russell Yuan Zhihan were part of Pacer Katong 1, who came in 1st in Division 1. In Division 2, Ryan Chua was part of the ActiveSG team, which finished 1st, and he was awarded Top Scorer in Division 2. Ethan Tan Zi Jun and Nathan Yeu Ren Jie, who were the Captain and Vice-Captain respectively in Speedi, were 2nd runner-up. Nathan Yeu was awarded Best Player for the last match against Pacer Katong 2, and Ethan Tan was awarded Overall Most Valuable Player for Speedi.
Earlier this year, Russell Yuan emerged victorious in the Under-14 category of the Australian Youth Water Polo Championship. The annual event featured over 210 teams, competing across four age groups. Russell showed his competitive spirit and talent during the youth tournament.
Wrestling: National Open & Team Trials
Our wrestlers punched over their weight to win a gold and silver medal each at the National Open & Team Trials. Secondary 4 wrestler Heba Lutfina Mohammed Jbour won gold for Women’s Freestyle Wrestling (-50kg) and silver for Girls’ Freestyle Wrestling 17 & Under (46kg). Marren McClaren Raven, who participated in his first competition since he joined us in the Diploma in Business programme this year, bagged the gold for Boys’ Sport Sambo 17 & Under (71kg) and Boys’ Freestyle Wrestling 17 & Under (71kg). SEA Games medallist Aryan Azman clinched the gold for Men’s Greco Roman Wrestling (-87kg) and silver for Men’s Sambo (88kg).
