Two More For The Trophy Cabinet!
FAS COE Under-15 Champions and Puma Youth Champions League
2023 has been a successful year for our footballers. Countless hours on the pitch honing their skills and gameplay led to results on the pitch during gameday and the overall results have paid off handsomely.
Since May this year, our footballers have competed in the FAS Centre of Excellence (COE) U15 League. The league pit them against 8 other top youth teams from COEs around Singapore - a challenge our boys took within the stride and excelled. They notched 20 wins out of 24 matches played and were crowned Champions in November! Secondary 3 student-athlete Azeem Hassan Mohammed Ibrahim added the icing on the cake by topping the league as top scorer with 27 goals.
Impressively, while competing in the FAS COE U15 League, they concurrently competed in the Puma Youth Champions U16 League in September. After 3 months of intense matches against 5 other top youth teams, they topped the table after securing 25 points with 8 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. They also had the 2nd highest goal count among the 6 teams in the league with 29 goals scored. Once again, Azeem finished level with 2 other players having 6 goals each to their names.
This is a great achievement by the lads and a wonderful conclusion to the competitive season. On to the next!
