Ten netballers gave their all at the Gold Coast International Netball Festival 2023, held from 29 September to 2 October 2023. In this unforgettable tournament, we went up against ten formidable teams from Samoa, New Zealand and all corners of Australia. After eleven intense games in just four days, we emerged as the 3rd place champions! We even avenged our earlier loss to Samoa College in the 3rd-place match.
The captain of the team, Kimberly Koh Jing Ting, earned the title of our team's Most Valuable Player. This competition tested us physically and mentally, but our resilience shone brighter under her leadership.
The competition was a wonderful experience as we experienced good hospitality, making it a memorable trip. It allowed us to be competitive but at the same time embrace various cultures and communities.
This tournament also marks the end of an era for our IBDP Year 6 netballers, Cheyenne Lim Hwee Suan and Kimberly Koh Jing Ting, who have been instrumental to our Academy for the past six years. We could not be prouder to send them off on such a high note!
