Asian School Sports Federation Badminton Championships and 17th Chinese Swimming Club Age Group Badminton (Invitational) Tournament

Our young badminton talents recently made us proud on the international and local stages! At the Asian School Sports Federation Badminton Championships in Semarang, Indonesia, Team Singapore competed fiercely against seven other countries. Stefanie Lee Feiyi and Chia Xin Ying played out their matches well in the Women's Team, securing an impressive 3rd place finish. Over on the Boys' Singles event, Tee Kai Ze showcased his smashing skills to clock in another 3rd place win for the team.

Closer to home, both past and present shuttlers dominated the courts at the 17th Chinese Swimming Club Age Group Badminton (Invitational) Tournament held from 2 to 8 September 2024. Our athletes took home a remarkable haul of 7 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze medals.

In the Under-17 Girls’ Doubles, Secondary 3 shuttler Jeanna Low Rui Xuan and her doubles partner claimed the top spot. Rising talents Ong Jun Hao and Aldrich Goh Guan Song triumphed in the Under-15 Boys’ Doubles, while Blairdimir Herbert and Gerald Koh struck gold in the Under-17 Boys' Doubles, leading a 1-2-3 podium sweep for Sports School.

Our alumni also made their mark, claiming victories in the Under-19 Boys’, Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles events. A smashing showing from all of them!
