Well-Being Week
The Well-Being Week, from 12 to 16 September 2024, was all about prioritising positive well-being and nurturing self-care. Themed 'Escaping The Matrix', our student-athletes engaged in a variety of activities, exploring vital aspects of mental health, recognising signs of burnout, and establishing effective self-care routines.
We kicked off the week with a sharing by counsellors and student-athletes on the theme and tips for positive well-being before they had a therapeutic art session during our CCE lesson. Our student-athletes unleashed their creativity and practised mindfulness, turning their thoughts and feelings into vibrant works of art.
During a lively assembly led by our student councillors, valuable tips were shared on recognising burnout and adopting self-care practices tailored to student-athletes’ demands.
The fruits of their artistic labour were on full display as student-athletes showcased their collaborative artworks. The lower secondary students explored themes such as 'Inside Out Concept' and 'Anxiety Isn’t Always Bad,' creating pieces that reflected their inner worlds.
Meanwhile, our upper secondary student-athletes drew Mandalas and Zentangles, embracing the theme of 'Improving Focus and Fading Distractions.'
Student-athletes received wristbands as a tangible reminder to rest, recharge, and excel. These simple yet meaningful tokens encourage them to prioritise their well-being amidst their busy schedules.
In a heartwarming display of care and support within the school community, our Boarding Captains packed and distributed care packs.
