In the past 2 years, our Bowlers have been on a roll and achieving to their fullest. They have been raking in medals across the various age-group categories of the Under 16, 18, 21 and Youth Divisions. In 2022, Joshua Soo and Mandy Koh both won the Youth Divisions of the 7th Singapore National Youth Championships. We also did very well in the Youth Divisions of the Singapore International Open with Nur Irdina Binte Hazly coming up tops in the Youth Girls Division and Josh Goh in the Youth Boys Division. In the 2023 addition of the Singapore Nationals & National Youth Bowling Championships, both Nur Irdina Hazly and Alumni, John Faragalla took home the championship title for the Women’s and Men’s Open respectively. |

OVERSEAS TRAINING CAMPS |
---|
Bowling Academy student-athletes have opportunities to travel overseas – not only for competitions, but also to learn from and train with experts and stronger players. Special funding is set aside so that our student-athletes can have the opportunity to be exposed to different bowling styles and to broaden their knowledge of the sport.
Selected student-athletes have had the chance to travel to Korea, Sekolah Sukan Tungku Mahkota Ismail (SSTMI) in Malaysia, and Kegel Training Centre in Florida, United States, where they learnt technicalities of the sport to understand the game better and give them an edge over their competitors. Bowlers who have gone for such training camps have benefited greatly, showing in their competition results shortly after returning from the overseas stints.
