Swimmers Race To Victory!
Swimming: 55th Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championships 2025 (Seniors)
Our swimmers showcased their talent and determination at the 55th Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championships 2025 (Seniors), held from 18 to 23 March at the OCBC Aquatic Centre. Over six days of intense competition, 44 swimmers made a splash at the pool to achieve stunning performance.
Secondary 2 student-athlete Casey Chua emerged as the most decorated swimmer of the team, earning a total of seven medals. Her outstanding performance included three golds in the Girls' 13-14 100m and 400m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley, and four silver medals in the 50m and 100m Butterfly, and 50m and 200m Freestyle. Her achievements were further recognised when she was named the Most Valuable Player in the Girls' U13-14 category.
Not to be outdone, Julia Yeo dominated the Women’s 15-17 category, clinching three gold medals in the Women's 15- 17 100m and 200m Backstroke and the 400m Individual Medley. She continued her strong showing with a silver in the 50m Backstroke.
Heather Teo and Manda Low also contributed to the team's success, each striking gold in the Women’s 15 - 17 200m Butterfly and 18 & Over 400m Individual Medley respectively. Both their hard work and determination paid off as they touched the wall first to claim the top spot.
Our post-Secondary student-athletes continues to shine with Artyom Lukasevits delivering a stellar performance, claiming one gold medal in the Men’s 18 & Over 800m and one silver medal in the 1500m Freestyle. Ian Leong Wei Sheng came home with three medals in the Men's 18 & Over category - one gold medal for the 400m Freestyle and two Silver medals for the 800m and 1500m Freestyle.
Five of our post-Secondary polytechnic student-athletes also made the B Cut for the World University Games which will be taking place at Berlin, Germany in July 2025.
With these outstanding performances, our swimmers demonstrated their skill, perseverance, and competitive spirit, making the team proud on the national stage.
